What We Teach
What We Teach - The Bible
Christ is King. That’s the cornerstone of our faith at Eastside. Here’s a deeper dive into the core truths from Scripture that shape our teaching:
We believe in God's eternal existence as three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This divine community is foundational to our understanding of God’s nature.
We believe in Jesus's divine nature and the redemptive work He accomplished on the cross. His literal resurrection is the anchor of our hope and a central tenet of our faith.
We believe the Holy Spirit is part of the life of every believer.
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired word, making it our ultimate guide for life, doctrine, and conduct. Scripture helps us understand God’s will for our lives.
We believe that salvation cannot be earned; it is entirely a result of God’s grace and mercy. He calls us to obedience and personal accountability, but His grace saves us.
We believe we begin our relationship with Christ through trusting faith, expressed in baptism. In baptism, we come into contact with the saving blood of Christ and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
We believe every soul will be resurrected to face divine judgment, which will result in either eternal life or eternal death. This belief underscores the urgency and importance of our faith and life choices.
These truths are at the heart of our teaching and shape our community at Eastside. We strive to live them out and share them with others, rooted in the firm belief that Christ is King.
